Salary: £32,000

38.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Purpose

We are seeking a Claims Department Data & Process Analyst, to join our team on a permanent basis. You will play a pivotal role in liaising with Business Intelligence (BI) analysts to create and/or optimise comprehensive Operational Power BI reporting, as well as documenting all key processes within the department. Your key responsibilities will include data analysis, root cause identification, process mapping, and identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements based on data insights. Role Profile

  • Collaborate with required stakeholders and BI analysts to develop and implement meaningful and effective claims data reporting frameworks.
  • Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement within the claims department.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to investigate root causes of issues identified in claims data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Generate and present regular reports and analyse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive performance improvements within the Operational Department.
  • Work closely with the Head of Operations, and Operational Management to document all department processes using Microsoft Visio, ensuring clarity and efficiency in workflows.
  • Analyse process efficiency by reviewing data trends and identifying optimisation opportunities based on performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with data security standards such as DPA and GDPR in all aspects of data analysis and reporting.
  • Act as a point of contact for escalation of data-related issues and provide recommendations for process enhancements.
  • Participate in regular meetings with stakeholders to provide updates on Operational data analysis and collaborate on improvement initiatives.
  • Support in developing and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Person Specification
You will have...

Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience in data analysis and reporting, preferably in a claims or insurance-related environment.
  • Excellent numerical skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and validatecomplex data sets and identify actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Power BI platform, for data analysis, data visualisation and reporting, as well as Powerpoint to present the data analysis.
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio or similar process mapping software to document workflows and processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to create accurate and thorough reports.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the insurance or automotive industry.
  • Previous experience in identifying and implementing process improvements based on data analysis.
  • Familiarity with process automation and operational efficiency methodologies.
