Job Description
- To have an understanding of and assist with working practices, grievance, disciplinary, recruitment, pay, conditions of employment, equality and diversity and staff welfare.
- To assist in the implementation and maintenance of policies relating to the effective management of personnel.
- To assist in the provision of training and development opportunities available to employees to enhance their performance and achieve Company objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- HR Administration
- Recruitment - prepare adverts, job descriptions, maintain recruitment competency matrix and support with interviews
- On boarding and Induction
- Retention and Engagement
- Data Management and Compliance
- Employee Relations
- Advising managers on HR processes and procedures including grievance, discipline, absence management, maternity, paternity, flexible working etc.
- Supporting the Senior HR Advisor to manage HR projects in line with Company and departmental objectives
- DSE Workstation Assessments
- Management of Employee database
Role Specific Skills and Knowledge
- Minimum of 2 years' recent experience working at HR Advisor level
- CIPD Level 5 Qualified (or working towards)
- Generalist HR knowledge, particularly in the areas of grievance, disciplinary, recruitment and absence management
- Superb written and verbal communication skills
- Negotiation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Pragmatic and flexible
Full training on Company systems, processes and procedures will be provided.
Other
Salary Increase: 3.5% pay increase to be implemented on 1st April 2022 for this role
Hours: 38.5 per week, Monday to Friday.
Travel: Occasional travel will be required to our office in Hull.
Holiday: 21 days, plus statutory bank holidays.
