Environmental Sustainability

There is no doubt that the motor vehicle sector has an important role to play in helping the world adapt to a more environmentally sustainable long-term future.

Companies and consumers are increasingly looking beyond climate change, considering wider environmental impact, as well as social and governance issues. Most recognise the need for a fair transition, considering the social consequences of the shift towards net zero.

Having a good record of positive change, Vizion is already working hard to ensure we have the right arrangements and capabilities in place across the organisation and value chain.

In recent years, we've lifted awareness of data protection and information security to the point where over 500 repairer partners now hold independently validated Cyber Essentials Accreditation, GDPR Compliance, and Information Commissioner's Office registration.

More recently, greenhouse gas emission and encouragement towards carbon neutrality, (firstly by offsetting, then by targeted reduction) has gathered significant momentum, with high importance for clients who require supply chain evidence in annual reporting.

The environmental impact of our organisation encompass mandatory Greenhouse Gas Protocol Scope 1, which are direct GHG emissions, e.g. from company cars, and gas heating boilers, and Scope 2, indirect emissions, e.g. emission released into the atmosphere associated with the purchase and use of electricity. We also consider Scope 3 in relation to business use and staff vehicles, as well as the upstream and downstream value chain.
